WASHING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Washing Preparations:
Unstuff pieces. For pawsocks, remove the stuffing from the toes using the access zipper at the top of the sock. For digijamas, remove the stuffing in the thighs using the zippers inside the side pockets and remove the stuffing from the calves using the zippers at the top of the socks.
Turn pawsocks halfway inside-out to protect the pawpads and claws.
Turn shorts inside-out.
To machine wash:
Use your normal detergent.
Wash on COLD, gentle cycle.
Turn fur-side out and hang dry with a fan.
Brush out gently a few times while drying.
NOTE: Some electric dryers have a no-heat fluff setting. If your dryer has this setting you can use it, but keep the paws halfway inside out to protect the toes and claws. Be sure it's
NO HEAT.
To hand wash:
Fill a clean basin (bathtub or kitchen sink) with several gallons of room temperature water.
Add a few teaspoons of laundry detergent and mix it up. Careful about using too much soap or laundry pods. You'll have to rinse a lot and the soaps could damage your skin. Wear gloves if you have delicate skin.
Soak your pawsocks for 30-60 minutes.
Examine your pawsocks for any extra soiled spots and apply detergent directly to those spots, then scrub it in.
Repeat soaking and scrubbing until you're satisfied.
Hang dry with a fan, brushing a few times while drying.
In between washes:
Keep your fursuit pieces smelling fresh and clean by using a fursuit spray! Fill a spray bottle with half 50% isopropyl alcohol and half water. Optionally add a few drops of fragrance oil, or tea tree oil for extra bacteria fighting. Spray any sweaty areas to deodorize and allow to dry inside-out.
